Community Outreach

Beginning with the 20th Annual Respect for Law Camp in 2014, campers became involved in community outreach. This is an extension of the Camp’s Five Foundations – Respect, Spirit, Leadership, Teamwork, and Kindness. The Commanders and Leaders of the Respect for Law Camp, along with law enforcement officers everywhere, are involved in outreach in their communities. Some of the most notable outreaches are DARE, Shop with a Cop, Hooked on Fishing and drug takeback programs.

While camp 2015 is in process, the campers will be involved in the Relay for Life, which will be held at Millett Hall in Oxford. They will dedicate part of their weekend to walking at Relay for Life. As part of this outreach, campers will receive Relay for Life donation/pledge forms as part of their welcome packet. While it is our hope that campers will take some time prior to camp to ask for pledges, no camper will be turned away from camp if they are unable to receive pledges.

If you have a community outreach program for the Law Camp campers to become involved in or for more information regarding the Relay for Life community outreach, please contact Candace Keller, Camp Director at (513) 524-5280.
